============================

This directory contains 7 Java files:
  * LeapModel3D.java, WrapLeapModel3D.java,
    ModelBehavior.java, Sprite3D.java, PropManager.java,
    CheckerFloor.java, ColouredTiles.java

There are 2 subdirectories:
  * models\    -- holds two 3D models: a robot (coolrobo.3ds) and a purple hand (hand.obj)
                  with their PropManager Coords text files

  * ncsa\ -- holds a copy of the NCSA Portfolio JAR file for loading 3D models

There are 2 batch files:
  * compile.bat
  * run.bat
     - make sure they refer to the correct locations for your
       downloads of the Leap SDK and Portfolio

----------------------------
Before Compilation/Execution:

* You need a Leap Motion controller (available https://www.leapmotion.com/)

* download and install the Leap SDK, available after
  free registration, from https://developer.leapmotion.com/

  compile.bat and run.bat assume that the SDK is stored in
  D:\LeapMotion\LeapSDK

* download and install Java 3D, available from
  http://java.sun.com/products/java-media/3D/

* make sure portfolio.jar is in the subdirectory ncsa/

----------------------------
Compilation:

> compile *.java
    // you must have Java 3D, the Leap SDK, and Portfolio installed

----------------------------
Execution:

> run LeapModel3D
    // you must have Java 3D, the Leap SDK, and Portfolio installed

> run LeapModel hand.obj
    // replaces the robot by the purple hand

-----
Hand/Finger controls:

* hand translation == translates the robot over the checkerboard, but
                      not beyond it

* finger circling == robot rotation (clockwise or counter clockwise)
                     around its vertical axis
